The Art Show open evening last Thursday showcased the artistic talents of our pupils – and the pop-up fashion show was a big hit with visitors.
Friends and family clapped and cheered as pupils modelled the work of our Junk Kouture finalists.
The show was then officially opened by Dr Alistair Payne, MFA PhD, the Glasgow School of Art’s Head of Fine Art.
Dr Payne was particularly impressed by the art ability on display and singled out some of his favourite pieces for particular praise.
One of the items which caught his attention was a bold necklace design by S4’s Emily Smith.
Head of Art Susan Breckenridge also thanked all the staff and pupils involved in staging yet another successful annual Art Show.
Parents, staff and pupils were also able to purchase some pieces to take home at the pop-up store which sold badges, tote bags and tea towels featuring pupils’ designs. All the money raised went to the School’s charity.
A great event!
