P3 pupils learned about the changing seasons with a walking tour followed by an ‘Art in the Park’ challenge in Maxwell Park.
The whole year group took part in the fun autumn day out, passing lots of Glasgow landmarks along the way.
The first visit was to the bus stop next to Kingarth Street, with pupils discussing the different lanes and signs for buses, taxis and bikes.
They continued their walk, passing the Hidden Gardens, the Scottish Ballet building, St Ninian's Episcopal Church, the Tramway theatre, the Glasgow Gurdwara, Pollokshields East Station, as well as many local shops.
Following the walk, the pupils challenged their senses with an Art in the Park workshop, creating autumnal pictures with materials they could find around Maxwell Park, including leaves, twigs and moss.
Everyone rounded off the day by talking about how nature was changing during the autumn season.
Very well done to all of our pupils, parents and staff involved in making the day a great success.
