9 pupils and Mr Macleod have begun their training for an exhilarating 18 day trek to Everest Base Camp in July 2016.
Mr Macleod explains:
Our first trip was to The Cobbler in the Arrochar Alps in August where the team showed good levels of fitness although not without a few blisters. Our next challenge at the end of this term is to tackle Ben Venue in the Trossachs.
Three of the team have also undertaken a 'Climb for Nepal Challenge' to raise money for the Nepal Earthquake Victims. They have been climbing the equivalent height of Everest Base Camp at 17,598 feet in the UK and have already raised £1322.67 for the Disasters Emergency Committee.
Suport them via the Team Hutchie Just Giving page.
Excitement is mounting as our expedition draws ever closer!
