Sharp shooter

S2 pupil, Emilia Faulkner made history when she won the Scottish Women's 10m Air Pistol Championship earlier this month.

Emilia, 13, is the youngest winner to receive the prestigious shooting award at the 10m Air, Pistol and Rifle Championships held at the University of Strathclyde in March.

As the highest placed Scottish player on the day, she additionally won the 2017 Home Grown Wilkinson Sword - awarded to the best unaffiliated scorer.

This is the first time that the prize has been awarded to a junior since it began being presented 34 years ago.

Emilia was congratulated at a special assembly for her incredible achievement and is aiming high for her next competition.
