Dear Fellow Parent,
On behalf of the School Association, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to the Annual General Meeting of the Association, to be held in the Fotheringay Auditorium at Beaton Road, on Wednesday 6th October 2010 at 7:30pm.
All parents are welcome, especially those new to Hutchesons', as the AGM provides an excellent opportunity to meet other parents outwith the normal school day. Participating in the School Association is a great way to get to know other parents and to get involved in the life of the school. There are a few vacancies on the Committee so why not put yourself forward for nomination. We are always open to new ideas and your input will be most welcome. See below for further details. It would be very helpful if you could indicate if you intend to come along on the night to help us with catering arrangements.

The Hutchesons' Grammar School Association is the representative body of the parents of pupils attending the school. Its committee consists of one elected member from each school year, together with the Chairman of Governors, the Rector, the Bursar and representatives of teachers, former pupils and the 1957 Group.
This year there are elections for the following years/groups:
Kingarth Street Primary 1, 5, 7 and Beaton Road Secondary 2, 6
If you have a child in one of these year groups and wish to nominate yourself as a year group representative, please complete the form sent home with your child and return to the School Office in an envelope marked 'Secretary - HGSA' or send an email to HGSA@hutchesons.org. The deadline for submission of nominations is Monday 4th October 2010.
If more than one nomination is received for a particular year, an election by secret ballot of the parents in that year will be held during the AGM. If no nominations have been submitted beforehand, nominations will be invited during the meeting. Please ensure that you supply a contact telephone number to enable us to confirm your intention to stand for election.
