There is no audition, but we ask that you love choral music, can read music and sing in tune, and that you attend rehearsals on Monday evenings in the Fotheringay Centre between September and March.

The next session begins on Monday 9th January at 7.30pm in the Georgeson room. Our programme for the next concert, which will take place on Sunday 11th March, 2012, will be:

  • 'Coronation Anthems' - Handel
  • 'I Was Glad' - Parry
  • 'Five Mystical Songs' - Vaughan-Williams

Scores are available.

The Choral Society normally presents two concerts a year in the Fotheringay Auditorium, with professional orchestra, in the Autumn and Spring terms.

The most recent concert was on Sunday 27th November and included a selection from 100 Carols for Choirs and Bach’s Wachet Auf, Cantata 140.

It will be followed on Sunday the 11th March by a Spring Concert featuring Parry’s I Was Glad, Handel’s Coronation Anthems and Five Mystical Songs by Vaughan-Williams.
