S2 Tuck Shop

Every year Hutchesons' pupils and their friends and families raise thousands of pounds for charity.

During the 2007-2008 session, pupils from the Secondary School at Beaton Road and the Primary School at Kingarth Street raised funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, by organising tuck shops, talent and fashion shows, and slogging through mud in a whole-school cross country race. The Teachers' Mile found the staff running around the playing fields watched by pupils. Primary pupils and staff wore pyjamas to school for a day and their teachers enjoyed the day the pupils took part in a sponsored silence!

Thank you for this fantastic donation. This money will help in our research into gene therapy to combat Cystic Fibrosis - June Ross, Regional Fund Raising Manager, Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Charitable fundraising is an integral and popular part of life at Hutchesons'. Each year pupils and staff nominate a principle charity to benefit from the proceeds of its fundraising activities and pupils and staff are encouraged to devise different events throughout the year.

In addition to the CF Trust, Hutchesons' has also contributed to the Bangladesh Hurricane Appeal, Breast Cancer and Barnardo's, as well as donating clothes and food to the St Rollox Asylum Seekers Project.
