• Going for Gold Ball
  It was a night to remember! Friends and former pupils of Hutchesons' danced the night away and raised £30,000 at the Going for Gold Ball on 28 March. Bill McFarlan and Carol Smillie hosted the glittering occasion.

• New Sports Stadium - Construction Timeline
  Follow the journey during 2009 as the playing fields at Beaton Road are transformed into an all-weather Hockey pitch and Tartan Track.
• Opening of The Kingarth Street Library
  The Kingarth Street Library was officially opened by Dr June I Gow (C1962) on 10 March 2008.
• The 1641 Society 2009
  The 1641 Society Lunch, on 5 June, was a gesture of appreciation to former pupils and friends of Hutchesons' who have recognised the School in their estate planning.
• The Alix Jamieson Stadium
  Mrs Alix Stevenson, nee Jamieson (C1960) graciously lent her name to the new stadium and unveiled the stone on 6 November before starting a Hockey match and House Relays. Alix represented Great Britain as a long jumper in the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
