Primary Art
From Primary 1, all pupils visit the original art studios at Kingarth Street and study art with specialist teachers. In collaboration with class teachers, the art staff prepare a curriculum which supports and extends classroom work, as pupils learn a variety of techniques as they progress through the school.
The culmination of the art year is the Art and Music evening in June, during which the results of the session are displayed for parents and friends.
Art is my favourite subject in school and has been since P1. I enjoy it because I really like to draw and create things out of clay. – Jonathan M
