Law

Law at Hutchesons' Grammar School exists to give pupils a grasp of some of the fundamentals of the language and concepts that lie behind the legal system.  

Based on the A/S and A Level Law syllabus, itself based on the English Legal system, the course examines issues of where laws come from and who is involved in the legal process and why. This is an opportunity for those considering further education or a career in Law or one containing a strong legal element, to provide points of engagement or comparison, but also useful for those contemplating any career, as an understanding of Law may be useful to any citizen regardless of their profession. 

Currently the Law course is an option for S6 pupils only.
