Extra-Curricular Activities

All pupils are encouraged to pursue extra-curricular interests as part of their balanced education.

Whether through participation in sport, the performing arts, community support, or involvement in a vast array of other activities such as Young Enterprise, Debating, Bridge, Photography, Film, Fairtrade, Eco Schools, CREST Biology Club, the school magazine The Hutchesonian, or charity fundraising, there is a club for everyone and new clubs are created every year.

Many pupils take up the challenge of working towards Silver and Gold in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme, where they not only learn survival skills, but also participate in activities such as cycling, kayaking, sailing and a wide range of Community Service projects.

In addition, pupils have the opportunity to participate in visits outside the school, from day trips to local places of interest to longer visits abroad.
