Clubs and Activities

Hutchesons' has a huge number of clubs and activities available to pupils throughout the school. The following are just a few of those on offer.

Film Club

Film club hopes to encourage pupils to discover a wide variety of film genres. This session we began with comedy, looking at some of the early Mike Myers films, and then moved on to examining British classics such as Gregory's Girl and two Monty Python films. The summer term brings International Season, beginning with La Vita e Bella. We meet every Thursday lunchtime in B17. All year groups are welcome.

Photography Club

"Journey"Every Friday lunchtime a group of keen photographers meets to improve their photographs by critiquing each other's work, learning new photographic techniques and swapping ideas. We have regular exhibitions and an annual competition, which is held in December. Sixth year photographers document key school events, and their photographs are used in publications such as the Hutchie Herald.
