Sports Results Round-Up

Stormy weather did not matter as the Girls Under 18 hockey squad returned triumphant from the Scottish Schools' indoor Hockey Championships in Perth. An 8-2 win over George Heriots in the Final sealed an emphatic day of Competition.

The break in the icy conditions allowed a number of fixtures to be played on Saturday but the stormy weather laid claim to the girls' home hockey fixtures. A mixed set of results saw the Boys U18 hockey team progress in the Cup against Edinburgh Academy. The U16 rugby squad overcame Dunbar Grammar School to make it through to the quarter finals of their Cup. The U18 rugby squad have exited their competition at the group stage after a close fought defeat to North Berwick.  The Girls second and third year hockey teams emerged from the winter hibernation with two wins, two draws and two defeats in their six matches against George Heriots in Edinburgh.  The Rugby squad had a full set of fixtures with Stewarts Melville College who proved strong in all areas.  Competition across the board was good but results did not go our way.  Congratulations to the 1st Year B team who recorded a notable victory in Edinburgh.

Saturday 22 January sees Hockey v Glasgow Academy for the Girls and Loretto for the Boys. Rugby v St Columbas, Hamilton College and the U16 quarter final v Marr at Auldhouse. KO is 10.30am.
