Top Art Prize for S6 Pupil in Royal Scottish Academy Competition

Max Milton 1st prizeMax Milton [S6] has won 1st equal prize in a prestigious competition for school pupils in Scotland run by the Friends of The Royal Scottish Academy and sponsored by Baillie Gifford.

 

Max's drawing, ‘Work in Progress: M74', was a pencil and ink study of the ongoing construction of the new motorway on Pollokshaws Road

The work is on display at the RSA Friend' Room from 17-31 March
at the RSA, the Mound, Edinburgh.

Two further pupils received Highly commended awards:

Raphael Selby, Highly CommendedRaphael Selby [S6] Senior Section.
Highly Commended for drawing, ‘Gorbals Demolition (left)

Dario Ewing [S1] Junior Section.
Highly Commended for an etching, ‘Starry Sea'
