Pupils enjoy Lyceum Theatre workshop

Lyceum Theatre Trip 2

Pupils from Hutchesons' enjoyed an exciting trip to the Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh on Wednesday, October 5.

Lyceum Theatre Trip 3A group of S5 Higher Drama and S6 Advanced Higher Drama pupils attended a workshop based on the play, "Mary Queen of Scots got her head chopped off" by esteemed Scottish playwright Liz Lochhead. They also had the opportunity to attend a performance of the play, an exciting, original and innovative production which was powerfully performed by a strong cast.

This text forms part of the Drama course work covered in S5 and S6 and the visit aimed to enhance the curriculum by deepening the understanding of the piece. As you can from the photographs the pupils had a thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile experience.

More pictures from the workshop can be viewed in the Art, Music and Drama Gallery.
