Staff and S5 and S6 pupils were delighted to attend the Action for Children Awards ceremony at the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow today, as Hutchesons' Grammar School received the 2011 Stephenson Award for Lifelong Learning.
This national award, presented by Louise Warde-Hunter - Strategic Director Children's Services at Action for Children, comes in recognition of a year of commitment and partnership with Action for Children.
Action for Children's Scotland West Fundraiser Carol McKinlay congratulated the school saying:
We are so proud of Hutchesons’ and all the work that you have done to help vulnerable children, young people and their families.
The school is continuing to promote citizenship, raise funds and foster social awareness and have selected Mary’s Meals as their chosen partner charity for this school session.
