Primary 3 enjoyed a fun and educational visit to Auchincruve Farm in Ayr recently.
Farmer Marshall told the children about the different grains he grew on his farm and explained the difference between straw and hay. The pupils were then shown how to use a special light which farmers use to try to spot cracks in the eggs.
As you can tell by the pictures the trip was a great success and everyone agreed that the highlight of the day was the milking parlour where the children were given the opportunity to try their hand at milking a fake cow called Rita!
