Drama double bill unites past and present pupils
A group of S5 pupils (pictured above) attended a performance of 'Lovers' by Brian Friel at the Eastwood Theatre at the end of October.
The play is an entertaining and captivating double bill, the first part ‘Winners’ follows the lives of teenagers Joe and Mag, the second part ‘Losers’ features an older married couple Hanna and Andy.
It was performed by Giffnock Theatre players and, as the group were delighted to see, a main role was played by Jennifer Morris a former pupil of Hutchesons’.
Jennifer (Class of 2000) studied Drama at Hutchesons’ to Higher level, and took an NC performance course in S6 and featured in many extra-curricular productions. She went on to study Law in Glasgow and Aberdeen, but has continued to act with amateur groups since she left school.
