Behind the scenes at the new Drama building
Although the curtain is yet to be officially raised on the new Drama Studio, here we offer you a quick peek behind the scenes with these exclusive pictures.
This image shows the striking red seating area in the foyer and the recessed wall, which will be soon filled with donors' tiles. These names and messages will remain throughout the history of the building, a legacy to inspire pupils both now and in generations to come.
There are three bright and airy studios. The interior walls have large upper windows to provide natural light and a bird’s eye view of rehearsals. Surprises are around every corner and the space within the building is extremely flexible, with the studios utilising specialist lighting rigs, retractable seating, sliding partitions and curtains to create areas for performance, practice and study.
