With a bit of help from Mr Finnie and Mr MacLeod of Kingarth Street, they have now emptied their huge cola bottle.
As you can see from the pictures the pupils then had the challenging (but exciting) task of sorting and finally counting the coins.
The final total was an amazing £222.55 and Primary 3 were absolutely delighted with the amount, which could be used to feed over 23 children currently living in poverty for a whole a year!
George Balfour Sayer (P3H) had the great idea to have a friendly competition to 'Guess how much is in the jar?'
There were lots of 'guesses' but sharp eyed Harris McCann (P3) was the closest with £210 followed by Finn Russell (P2) who was second with £198.
Congratulations to Primary 3 on their efforts in turning coins that might otherwise have gone unmissed down the back of the sofa into a life changing sum for children in another country!
