Jointly awarded the Boys Dux Medal for outstanding academic achievement in 2008, Anish Deshpande scored 100% in A level Physics, as did Douglas Chiah, who was also was top in Higher Physics in 2007. Anish will go to Trinity College, Cambridge, to read Engineering.
Andrew Allan was the top performing candidate in Advanced Higher Technological Studies.
Ronnie Palchauduri gained an astonishing two A grades in Advanced Higher and three A grades in A level exams. He is going to University College London to study Medicine.
Three further pupils gained an A grade in Advanced Higher and three A grades in A levels. Alec O'Donoghue is taking up a place to read Economics at St John's College, University of Cambridge. Craig Sturrock goes to Queens' College, Cambridge to read Mechanical Engineering.
Identical twins Sophie and Katie Fox both achieved identically excellent grades - six ‘A' grades at Higher and are currently in S6 at Hutchesons'.
