Pupils enjoyed themselves and raised funds for the school charity during the festive season. Primary pupils sang carols in freezing conditions outside the Nithsdale Road shops, raising £150 for CHAS, and retreated indoors to the Silverburn Shopping Centre to entertain shoppers.
Pupils paid not to wear their uniform on 12 December, which also benefited CHAS, and sampled the wares at the Green Cafe the same day, which raised funds to support Hutchesons' bid to attain the highest Eco Schools level. 'Harry the Piano', fresh from delivering a musical lecture to S6 pupils, entertained the cafe-goers with Christmas carols played in his own inimitable style!
