Hutchesons' Pupils Host Australian Pupils in Exchange
Four Pupils from Victoria in Australia spent almost five weeks at Hutchesons' after hosting their Scottish counterparts in the summer. Ebony, Lincoln, Megan and Milly arrived in the middle of November, and left just before Christmas. Their first reaction on arrival? It's green and cold! Also, as one of them put it, "You couldn't see the sky as the clouds were blocking it."

In the words of Ebony, Lincoln, Megan and Milly:
- We made lots of friends at Hutchie.
- We attended classes, but also had time to carry out independent research and visit places in Glasgow.
- We were able to try subjects we don't get back home, such as Drama and Cooking, where we all made chocolate Yule Logs.
- We visited Geography classes and told the pupils about our country. They all seemed to be fascinated by poisonous snakes and spiders, and seemed to think they were all over the place.
- We helped with the World Affairs club and also visited the Primary School on a couple of occasions where we were made very welcome.
- One of the highlights was going to the S1 Dance. It was great to see all the boys in their kilts and to try some traditional dancing!
