Why did the one-eyed monster close his school down?
He only had one pupil!
Pupils from Lucy Black's P5B class had a rib-crackingly funny time with their Enterprise project - creating, designing and selling a joke book - Hilarious Hutchie.
"We decided to do an Enterprise project to raise money for CHAS," said
teacher Lucy Black. "We approached Mrs. Graham (a parent) of YES graphics who kindly agreed to help us with the project by printing the books. P5B asked the whole of Kingarth Street to submit jokes/illustrations for the book."
Pupils learned about the printing process and different types of paper, and decided what type, thickness and colour of paper they would print the joke book on. They spent many afternoons typing up the jokes and emailing them to Mrs. Graham and scanned in the pictures to be used as
the background to each page.
"To date we have made over £900, and we still have about 100 books to sell!" says Miss Black.
