On the same day that the Queen celebrated her 83rd birthday, Flora (Flo) Smith, nee McMurtrie (C1925) clutched the message sent by Elizabeth R to commemorate her own 100th! Surrounded by friends and family, Flo celebrated the occasion in style in Pollokshields Burgh Halls, at a party organised by her son, Alastair Smith (C1973) and attended by her sister, Catherine McMurtrie (C1941) and many other Former Pupils. Guests enjoyed food and music and a trip down memory lane via photos of the birthday girl throughout her life, including a wonderful shot of the 14-year-old Flo in the 1st XI Hockey team in 1924!
Head Boy Josh Fields and Depute Head Boy Douglas Kyle made a surprise appearance.
Friends and fellow Former Pupils celebrated with Flo (centre) on 21 April.
