Pupils and staff at Hutchesons' were among the professional and amateur artists who contributed to an unusual art show.
'The Wee Art Show' was an exciting mix of anonymous postcard-sized art presented at Wilson Davis Fine Art at Quarrier's Village in Renfrewshire in aid of the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
Nadia Catena and Sam Burrowes, both in S6, and art teachers Steve McQueen and Susan Breckenridge created mini artworks which were showcased along with 250 others.
Nadia submitted a pencil study of a car which was both eye-catching and unusual in terms of its composition and mood. Sam's collograph was highly textural and inspired by architectural forms.
Steve McQueen and Susan Breckenridge both used nature as their source and combined intricately detailed forms incorporating watercolour and indian ink.
"It was a great opportunity to brush shoulders with professional artists," says Susan Breckenridge, Head of Art, "and we are grateful to former Hutchesons' parent Carol Anderson for her invitation to participate in this innovative art exhibition."
