Pupils make it to Final of Junior Schools Challenge
The Hutchesons' team narrowly missed winning the Junior Schools' Challenge at Dollar Academy on 25 April. After some very convincing wins in earlier rounds, against Stewart's Melville, Merchiston and Dollar Academy, the pupils - Ashley Neilson [S1], Edward Campbell [S1], Roddy McCrea ([S2], and Lena McCrae [S2] - were beaten by only 30 points by George Heriots.
Schools' Challenge is the national general knowledge competition for schools in the United Kingdom and uses the same basic rules as University Challenge.
