A group of 50 pupils from Primary 5 to Secondary 3 took part in the 2009 Annual Art Competition for Young People by spending the day at Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery.
Pupils from Glasgow schools have the freedom to choose an exhibit from one of the Glasgow museums and create a drawing in any medium. Golden eagles, dinosaurs and butterflies were favourites among the younger pupils; one S1 pupil produced a fabulous architectural study and a P7 pupil created a beautifully detailed study of a sword fish.
The closing date is 1 June and winners will be announced in September.
