Six pupils in S6 at Hutchesons' have received awards in the British Biology Olympiad, including Stephen Rose, who won a Silver medal.
The British Biology Olympiad is a competition to extend and reward the best all round young Biologists in the country. Its aim is to enable students with an outstanding knowledge and enjoyment of the subject of biology to have this recognised and celebrated by their peers, their families, teachers and schools.
Congratulations to Stephen Rose who won a silver medal, Nicola Lowrey who was highly commended and Charlotte Read, Katy Fox, Graeme Sneddon and Richard Newman who were commended. "These students have proved themselves to be of a high calibre", says Head of Biology, Manjit Jheeta, "and are excellent ambassadors of the Biology Department."
