Drama Pupils in Local Community Project
A group of S3 Drama pupils recently took part in a community arts project with Theatre Found, says Hutchesons' Drama teacher Ellie Meek. The company brought together 10 groups from Pollokshields in a cross-generational and multi-cultural project spanning 12 weeks. The Hutchesons' pupils worked closely with a group from Pollokshields Primary School, developing a series of dramatic sketches on the theme of social inclusion. The work was presented to an audience in St Albert's Church Hall.
Carrie Westwater, Artistic Director of Theatre Found, praised the group: "The Hutchesons' pupils have been terrific - talented and very supportive and encouraging to younger members of the group." Kate Cameron [S3], one of the Hutchesons' pupils who took part was equally enthusiastic: "It's been a great experience for us."
