S1 Pupils win Glasgow Festival of Chemistry

Salters' Festival of Chemistry

 

 

Four S1 pupils - Catherine Sutherland, Catriona MacKenzie, Stuart Ireland and Scott Griffiths - from the Chemistry Club won first place in the analytical competiton of the Salters' Challenge at Glasgow University in May.  Twenty schools from the West of Scotland participated.

Salters' Festival of Chemistry

Each year the Salters' Institute in partnership with the Royal Society of Chemistry organise 55 Festivals of Chemistry which take place at Universities throughout the UK and Ireland. The aim is to promote the appreciation of chemistry and related sciences among young people.
