Three pupils have won a prize from Birmingham University's Particle Physics Research Group after their teacher entered their video in a competition.
Blake Sinclair, Ellie MacArthur and Haniyyah Zafar (with the help of six pupils in Physics teacher Julie Boyle's 3F form class), explained the use Promoting the use of PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scans, the video earned the pupils a prize of lunch with members of the Particle Physics Research Group and a cheque for £300.
In the video, the pupils explain that Particle Physics research has benefited mankind by allowing various diseases to be detected more easily.
