Forty years rolled away, as 40 former pupils from the Ladies Class of 1969 celebrated the Ruby anniversary of their departure from Kingarth Street.
Crammed into the school Lunch Room, the friends reminisced and caught up, and even sang the Girls School Song with astonishing gusto and tunefulness.
Linda Eddie recalled the oft-broken rule never to eat in public while wearing school uniform and Rector Dr Ken Greig showed how co-education has only enhanced opportunities for girls at Hutchesons'.
