As part of the post-Higher programme at Hutchesons', S5 pupils who are interested in a career in Law spent a morning with Ian Smart, current President of the Law Society of Scotland.
In a session organised by A Level Law teacher, Ruth Hems, the pupils listened to different scenaries described by Mr Smart and tried to resolve from from the legal point of view.
Pupils later created their own court scene in a 'MiniTrial' at Hutchesons'.
Hutchesons' has a long tradition of producing outstanding lawyers. Twenty seven pupils from the Class of 2009 are going on to Law degrees at universities throughout the UK.
