Azeem Arshad has two franchises of up-and-coming sandwich chain Baguette Express (Glasgow Fort and Renfield Street), but his main coup was successfully securing the Master Franchise for the North of England, with the result that he is director of Baguette Express (North East) Ltd, the company which is responsible for expanding the chain in the region. He plans on rolling out 50 stores within the next five years, creating 500 jobs.

These ambitions and achievements led to mass media coverage in the region, with BBC News even reporting it on their TV Bulletin, and other papers such as The Sunday Times / Newcastle Chronicle etc picking up on the story too.

After a LLB Law (Hons) Degree, Arshad went back to University to get a MSc in Real Estate and then decided to go into business.
