Golf was Off!
Once again, the ladies golf event met with very poor weather, says organiser Sallie Harkness (C1956). Overnight rain led to the closure of the course at Strathaven and the competition for the beautiful silver trophy was cancelled.
Several of the more intrepid FPs, including Helen Dale, who had driven up from Cheshire, met at Strathaven for coffee and a chat.
The Strathaven Club has kindly agreed to carry forward our booking for Tuesday 14 September 2010. All those who have deposited cash for this event should know that this will be carried forward as a credit for future years.
Sallie will be sending out a letter in early 2010 with details of the 2010 competition. She is hoping for better weather next year! If any FP lady golfers are interested in playing, please contact Louise Duncan in the Development Office at Hutchesons'.
