Primary 5 pupils at Hutchesons' worked flat-out last Thursday 21 January to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust, the charity Hutchesons' has chosen to support this year.
They raised more than £550 by selling their old books and toys, painting faces, organising games and competitions and selling tasty treats. "It was very crowded and we worked non-stop", says pupil Kelsey Kaur, surprised by the event's popularity! "I think it was very good because we raised a lot of money and it was good fun". says Abdullah Kayani. P5 pupil Euan Ramage even brough out the educational angle: "It was good fun working on the stalls", he said, "and it was a challenge to give the exact change!"
