Hutchesons' make History in the Brewin Dolphin Scottish Schools Cup

Champions!Hutchesons' broke the dominance of Edinburgh schools in Scottish Schools Rugby when they became the first Glasgow side to win the Brewin Dolphin Scottish Schools Cup at the Under 15 level.

The Hutchesons' team beat Stewart's Melville College 10-8 in a closely contested and nail-biting final at Murrayfield Stadium in front of almost 6,000 spectators on 11 February.

Hutchesons' scrum half Robbie Blackwood scored a critical try in the first half, converted by George Swankie, who also kicked a successful penalty goal.

"Congratulations to the squad and the coaching staff, and to pupils and staff for their support," said Rector Dr Ken Greig, following the victory.
