A-Head of Fashion

A-Head of FashionPrimary pupils modelled their home-fashioned hats on 5 March for an EcoSchool show. Pupils designed their hats using recycled materials.

"The Eco Committee wanted to raise the profile of their work within Kingarth Street," says teacher Anne Smart, "with the particular focus being on recycling, and to raise funds at the same time. They brainstormed numerous ideas and came up with the ‘A-head of Fashion' hat show. They liked this idea as it was easy for pupils to model their creation and it meant that everyone could take part.

A-Head of Fashion"We decided to invite parents to join the judging panel," says Mrs Smart. "Mr Green, who has provided all out compost bags, and Mrs Rogers, a milliner, along with Mrs McKie and Mrs McAllister from the Art department. The Committee also asked Cuthbertson Street School Eco Committee to join us, as we are working with them on a joint transport project.
