Hutchesons' 1st XI Hockey team win Scottish Schools Cup
Congratulations to the girls of the Hutchesons' 1st XI Hockey squad, who won the Scottish School Girls Cup at Peffermill, Edinburgh, in March, beating George Watson's College 2-0 in the final.
The squad enjoyed a "pretty emphatic group stage" says Senior Depute Rector Mike Martin, without conceding a goal, before winning 2-1 against Strathallan in the semi-final and 2-0 in the final.
The competition included a team from team qualified from each of the seven Scottish Districts divided into two pools and played in a round robin format, leading to the semi-final and final.
In other Hockey news, the 1st Year 'A' team won the West District Cup in March, completing a season of excellent results for Hockey at Hutchesons'.
