A Runaway Success - Again!

Hutchesons' dominated the AVIVA Secondary Schools' Cross-Country Championships at Beach Park, Irvine, on 13 March, cementing the School's reputation for excellence in long-distance running. Primary 7 Girls also took Gold in the Primary Championships.

More than 800 young athletes competed across eight races in what is one of the biggest athletics events in Scotland; 150 different secondary schools from all over the country took part.

The event's eight races were split into boys and girls categories with four different age groups: under- 14; 14-15; 15-17 and over 17 with varying distances for each category.

Both the Under 14 and 15-17 Girls teams won Gold medals, the 16-17 Boys took Silver, with Bronze for the Over 17 Girls and Under 15 Boys. 

P7 Girls Gold X Country 2010In the Scottish Schools Primary Cross Country Championships on 24 April in Kirkcaldy, the P7 Girls from Hutchesons' took team Gold, with Charlotte Mason also winning individual Silver.
