Michelle McMonagle, PA to the Bursar at Hutchesons', took a leap of faith recently, when she abseiled 100 feet fron the roof of the South Stand at Celtic park to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Michelle took part because her 10-year-old daughter, Carys, has Cystic Fibrosis, one of the UK's most common life-threatening inherited diseases.
"I am absolutely terrified of heights," she says, "but compared to what Carys has to deal with on a daily basis, a 100-feet abseil was really nothing. I wanted to raise some money and to raise awareness of CF, as so many people have no idea what the condition is and how it affects every aspect of daily life for sufferers and their families."
Hutchesons' supported the Cystic Fibrosis Trust as its chosen charity during the 2007-2008 session and presented a cheque for £25,000 raised by pupils and staff during the year.
