S5 pupils Robyn Catherwood and Lucy McKell returned to Glasgow after a five-week exchange programme at Hutchesons' partner school, Goulburn Valley Grammar in Shepparton, Australia.

Staying with families, the girls attended school each day, making plenty of new friends, and gaining an insight into Australian life, not least Aussie "slang" While there, the Prime Minister called a General Election and they have been following the campaign to find out the local issues.
They saw plenty of Australia, too. On arrival, they stayed in Melbourne, taking in the Eureka Skydeck, Federation Square and Melbourne Zoo. Later Robyn travelled the Great Ocean Road to see the spectacular Twelve Apostles, while Lucy went ski-ing in the nearby mountains. From shopping in Melbourne, attending Aussie Rules football, to helping out with the school production or tagging sheep on a ranch and seeing koalas in the wild, the girls have had an enriching and life-changing summer, and are counting the days until their hosts make the return journey to Glasgow later this year.
Said Alan Humphries, Depute Principal of Goulburn, "Lucy and Robyn were splendid exchange students, great ambassadors for their school and a delight to have in ours."
