Hutchie Pupils are Winners at Kelvingrove Competition

Seven pupils have been honoured in the 2010 Annual Art Competition for Young People, which was established in 1904 and which is supported by the Friends of Glasgow Museums.

A group of 40 pupils from P6 to S2 visited Kelvingrove Gallery and Museum in May to take part in the annual competition. Accompanied by art teachers Miss Lovell and Mr McQueen from Beaton Road and Mrs Toner and Mrs MacSween from Kingarth Street, pupils used exhibits from Kelvingrove's vast collection to produce drawings in different media.

Medal winners work will be on public display at Scotland Street Museum from 8 October to 7 November, following the Medal presentation at Kelvingrove on 7 October.
