FP Ladies Golf Outing 2010

I am glad to report that 14 FPs turned out to Strathaven for the Golf Outing on Tuesday 14 September. The weather was very mixed so we agreed on playing nine holes and, in spite of starting in bright sunshine, we all got soaked to the skin in a very heavy - indeed torrential - shower. Fortunately nobody seemed to mind and there was a good atmosphere in the clubhouse when we returned there for our lunch.
Enid Young, née Tennant (C1966), won the trophy with Sallie Harkness second and Jinty Rodger, née Jamieson (C1968), third. Gillian Kyle, née Inglis (C1983), had the longest drive and Jenna Park, née Allan (C1959), was nearest the hole. The winners were pleased with the prizes provided by the school and everyone was delighted to receive a Hutchie golf ball!
As always Strathaven Golf Club was very welcoming and provided good facilities and a nice lunch. We agreed that this is our best venue made a booking for Tuesday 6 September 2011.
