S5 pupils Usman Abdul-Quayum and Mazen Allam founded the Medical Union this session. The first meeting benefited from a guest lecture by Dr Saket Priyadarshi entilted 'From Malaria to Methadone'.

Discounted past papers and revision guides at the Library
An ordering service for past papers will be available again this year. Pupils can pick up an order form from the Library and there is a discount of discount of 20%. A selection of Bright Red publishing revision guides will also be available to purchase.

Medal Success in Physics Olympiad!
Three Hutchesons' pupils have been honoured with medals in the 2011 British Physics Olympiad, which attracts entries from the UK's top young physicists. Timothy Heelis received Gold and Scott Melville Silver. Hamza got a Bronze for his Practical Project.

Meeting the Mathematical Challenge
For the second year running, four pupils from Hutchesons' won the regional final of the Team Maths Challenge run by the UK Mathematical Trust in March.

Hutchesons' Pupils in National Final of Bank of England Competition
Six months of preparation and study paid off for four S6 pupils from Hutchesons' as they achieved third place in the eleventh national final of Target 2.0, held on Friday 18 March at the Bank's headquarters in Threadneedle Street, London.
