On Monday the 4th July a group of 14 former Hutchesons’ pupils received Duke of Edinburgh's Awards at Holyrood Palace. Here they offer a few words on their achievements.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition success
This year 27 sixth year pupils and 10 fourth year pupils from Dr Smith's Gold/Silver group successfully completed their Final Assessed Expedition at Active Outdoor Pursuits on 25th June to 1st July 2011.

More than 150 Hutchesons' Pupils on Duke of Edinburgh's Award Expeditions
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Expedition training season is in full swing and pupils have survived their first camping experience in the wild, not to mention the dreaded Scottish midge.

S4 Complete their Duke of Edinburgh's Silver Award Expedition
The 45 fourth-year pupils in Dr Smith's Silver B group successfully completed their final assessed expedition assisted by Active Outdoor Pursuits, based at Craigower Lodge Outdoor Centre, Newtonmore, in June 2009.
