Six months of preparation and study paid off for four S6 pupils from Hutchesons' as they achieved third place in the eleventh national final of Target 2.0, held on Friday 18 March at the Bank's headquarters in Threadneedle Street, London.

Hutchesons' Pupil wins Prestigious Arkwright Scholarship
At a ceremony held at the Institution of Engineering & Technology, Savoy Place London, on 29 October, Catriona Reid [S5] was awarded a prestigious Arkwright Scholarship for her outstanding work in design, engineering and technology.

Meeting the Mathematical Challenge
Four pupils from Hutchesons' won the regional final of the Team Maths Challenge run by the UK Mathematical Trust in March. They go on to compete for the UKMT Team Maths Challenge trophy at the Royal Horticultural Halls,London, on 21 June this year.

Big Bang 2010 National Science and Engineering Competition
Hutchesons' has a long tradition of success in the national CREST (Creativity in Science and Technology) competition and 2010 is no different. Six pupils all won prestigious prizes at the Manchester event.
