The winners of the 2011 awards have been announced as esteemed crime author Sandra McGruther (née Lang) aka Alex Gray (C1968) and wildlife producer, writer and journalist Dr Kenneth Taylor (C1972).

Top physics award for former pupil
A recent former pupil of Hutchesons’ has achieved a top mark in the Advanced Higher Physics exam this year and has been presented with an award from the Institute of Physics for his achievement.

Fotheringay Centre hosts Aid Concert for Gambia
On Sunday 13 November the Fotheringay Centre will host a concert in aid of the JUICE Project which provides opportunities for discouraged and disadvantaged young people and women in The Gambia.

Kingarth Street takes part in Glasgow Open Doors Day
On Saturday the 17 September the Kingarth Street Primary once again took part in the Glasgow wide Open Doors Day. The event proved a great success and over 150 enthusiastic visitors toured the school.
