Cyclist and piper Gordon Casely (C1961) achieved a double in both interests when in a cycling tour in March across Jordan from Amman to Aqaba, he reached the Dead Sea by bike, at 1200 feet below sea level, the lowest point on the planet

Golf was Off!
Once again, the ladies golf event met with very poor weather, says organiser Sallie Harkness (C1956). Overnight rain led to the closure of the course at Strathaven and the competition for the beautiful silver trophy was cancelled.

Azeem Arshad has two franchises of up-and-coming sandwich chain Baguette Express (Glasgow Fort and Renfield Street), but his main coup was successfully securing the Master Franchise for the North of England.

Hutchie Bear accompanies Former Pupil to top of Kilimanjaro!
Despite a nasty bout of altitude sickness, Andrew Watson (C2007) made it to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, along with friend Monty Jaro, so named by a pupil in Primary 4 at Kingarth Street.
