Rosa Sacharin and the 'Kindertransport' S4 pupils at Hutchesons' listened with great interest when Mrs Sacharin addressed them in June, combining an explanation of the Nazis' rise to power with an account of some of her own experiences as a youngster in Berlin.

Witness to War June was a busy month for Bob Kutner. Between a holiday and one of his retirement occupations as a voluntary social worker, he visited the Hutchesons' History Department four times in one week to share his wartime adventures with S2 pupils.
